The Washington Capitals continued to accomplish the impossible on Saturday afternoon. After winning the Stanley Cup Thursday night, the Caps have partied in a hotel lobby, a Las Vegas nightclub, a charter flight, a Clarendon bar, Nationals Park, and now the Georgetown Waterfront. They even jumped in the freaking fountain.
This party has been going on for nearly 48 hours and shows no sign of the slowing down. This is not a desert mirage.
Things started off calmly enough as Alex Ovechkin was held up so he could do a kegstand and drink from the Cup. He then led his teammates and fans in a chant of his own name.
Ovi then scaled a fence to get into a bar.

Ovechkin capped this off with the old hockey tradition of jumping into a fountain, taking off your shirt, swimming, doing pushups, and then jumping up and down with his teammates and a bunch of random people in khaki shorts.

It's been hours since the Caps swam in the fountain, but this angle is new to me. And amazing. Because they're all amazing. (via @jgboy13) pic.twitter.com/1SicLw6jaS

The Capitals concluded the evening by actually making it onto the bus and exclaiming they were going to get matching tattoos.
