In case you’d forgotten that former Capitals forward Eric Fehr is now a Stanley Cup champion, he and wife Rachel are reminding you with the name of their adorable new son, Benjamin Stanley Fehr.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, little Ben was born Wednesday at a sizable 8 pounds, 15 ounces and 21 inches in length. His first name is a tribute to Fehr’s grandfather.

There happens to be another connection to Stanley, as it’s the name of the municipality where Fehr grew up in rural Manitoba, Canada, he told the Trib.

A few months ago, Fehr hoisted the Stanley Cup in the Caps’ hometown when the Penguins visited the White House to receive congrats from the president. During his day with the Cup over the summer, Fehr toured his adopted hometown of Winnipeg and his original hometown of Winkler.

Hopefully Benjamin Stanley Fehr will have a better relationship with the Stanley Cup that his older sister, Elle, who cried when her parents sat her in the Cup for photos after the Penguins won it back in June.

S/t to @OsRavensCaps for the heads up and the screenshot.
